It is the policy of the group to carry out all measures reasonably practicable to seek to meet, exceed or develop all necessary requirements to improve the hotel’s impact on society.
The hotel will comply with all environmental regulations, legislation and approved codes of practice relating to the processes and activities of the group.

Sympathetic forestry in own grounds provides material for burning in log fires
Towel usage policy in place to reduce linen consumption
TVs turned off in bedrooms between guest stays
Low energy bulbs used wherever practicable
Push button timers and motion sensors installed on lights where practicable
Only essential lighting for Heath & Safety reasons left on at night
Heating regulated throughout hotels by timers
TRVs installed on all new radiators
Energy efficient boilers installed in 2 sites
Double glazing units installed in all replacement windows
We consider environmental best practise in new projects and refurbishment
Local suppliers sourced wherever possible and cost effective
Discounts given to charitable events held at hotels, eg. Rotary, PTA fund raising

Fix regulators to fridges to minimize energy use
Review use of Fairtrade produce
The group will strive to enhance environmental awareness and understanding in all employees, suppliers, customers, sub-contractors and the public. Where possible the Company will provide information and assistance to customers on the environmental issues arising from its products and services.
